Another fix, instead of deleting the whole lines of code find the line with the number "350" and change that single line to "0". Without the " " and that is an easier fix instead of trashing lines of code.

This is great information; thank you so much for the tutorial (and the accumulated experience of all the people responding). Now, I have another related question: I've been recording some shows witht he DVR function of the Motorola Comcast, and I haven't find the way to export that (to my Mac Book Pro, or to an external hardrive). Is there any way to do so, or the only way is to record it to my Mac with the method explained above?
Thank you!

There is program called GraphicConverter at Lemkesoft.com. It's primarily a graphics program but it has a very powerful renaming function under it's Convert and Modify menu. You can download a free trial from the website. It does subfolders and it will let you trim the end or beginning of file names. The free version is fully funcional you just have to wait 10 seconds every time it starts up.

Thanks for this tip. How do you confine the file name changes to files in just one particular folder? I had the folder whose file names I wanted changed open in Finder, but the script also changed the name of a file I had just sitting on my desktop.

Wow!!!! Thanks a lot for this info! You really saved me!

I have to hand in a video project tomorrow and couldn't get my Adobe Premiere to work. Meaning I couldn't get the sound imported into my video, but after reading this it worked. Thx a lot!

Cheers
